How to download X videos on iPhone

On an iPhone, Safari saves downloaded files to the Files app first. One extra step moves the video into Photos, where most people want it.

Steps

1. In the X app, open the post, tap the share icon and choose Copy link.
2. Open xpostdownloader.com in Safari and tap Paste.
3. Tap Best (or another size). If Safari asks whether to download the file, tap Download.
4. Tap the blue download arrow in Safari's address bar, then tap the file to open it.
5. Tap the share icon in the corner and choose Save Video. It now appears in Photos.

Finding a download later

Open the Files app, choose Browse, then Downloads (it may be under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on your settings in Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads).

Tips

• Add the site to your home screen from Safari's share menu so it opens like an app.
• Choose a smaller size on cellular data. 720p usually looks fine on a phone screen.
• Only public posts work. Protected accounts and deleted posts can't be loaded.
